FAQ

Common questions, answered plainly.

If your question isn't here, just ask — we reply to every inquiry within a day.

Do I need previous trekking experience?
Not for every route. Hunza & Rakaposhi and Nangma Valley suit first-time trekkers with reasonable fitness. K2 Base Camp and other high-altitude routes are more demanding and benefit from prior multi-day hiking experience.
What's the minimum group size?
Most routes run with a minimum of 2 people. Smaller or solo bookings are often possible too — get in touch and we'll confirm pricing and availability for your dates.
Are permits included in the price?
Yes. All required trekking permits and park fees for the route you book are included in the listed price.
How do you handle altitude sickness?
Every itinerary is paced with acclimatization days built in, and our guides are trained to recognize early symptoms. If you'd like more detail, we've written about our approach in the Journal.
What's the best time of year to trek?
It depends on the route and altitude — lower valleys like Hunza open earlier (April), while high routes like K2 Base Camp need the June–August window. See our season guide for a full breakdown.
What's not included in the trek price?
International and domestic flights, visa fees, personal trekking gear, travel insurance, and tips for guides and porters are not included unless stated otherwise.
Do you require travel insurance?
Yes, for all treks above 3,000m we require proof of travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking and emergency evacuation.
How do I book a trek?
Send an inquiry through our contact form with your preferred route and dates. We'll reply within 24 hours with availability and next steps.
